Probono Program

At Tatak, we are driven by our commitment to social activism and creating positive change. We are proud to introduce our annual Pro Bono Program, where we sponsor the brand revamp, brand, and marketing strategy for an Indigenous-owned business.

As a company, we recognise and acknowledge that Indigenous Australians are the traditional owners of the land on which we have the privilege to live, work, and play. We are mindful of the historical and ongoing impacts of colonisation on Indigenous peoples, and we are dedicated to addressing the inequalities and barriers that Indigenous businesses may face in their daily operations and accessing business, marketing, and design support.

Our Pro Bono Program is our way of taking reparative action and supporting Indigenous businesses by providing them with the expertise and resources we offer to thrive. We believe that by partnering with Indigenous businesses, the businesses themselves not only benefit, but also contribute to a more diverse and inclusive society in Australia.

We are truly excited to work with Indigenous businesses, and we are committed to providing them with the highest level of professional services to help them succeed. Our Pro Bono Program is a reflection of our values and our dedication to social justice. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and promote positive change in our communities.

Meet the Recipients

SevGen

SevGen is short for Seven Generations and is an Indigenous ecological thinking that we must consider that our deliberations and actions of today, will affect seven generations into the future, requiring us to be more conscious about our actions while drawing on the wisdoms of seven generation ancestors.

With an intergenerational story of not being served well by the school system, founder Terri Waller believed there was a need for new approaches and methodologies that would bring connection and relevance to Indigenous students. She soon realised that the approach would benefit all students who needed a different approach and decided to pursue a career as a teacher, with a goal of making a difference to the educational experience and outcomes in a creative way.
