Insights and Inspiration from the Newkind Social Justice Conference 2022

I was lucky to attend in November last year representing Tatak, and with the session recordings and report being released recently I felt like I needed to share my thoughts and a couple very important resources from the conference.

Attending the Newkind Social Justice Conference was a transformative experience that left a lasting impact on me. 

It opens your eyes to the interconnectedness of key social issues that affect our world. It exposes you to diverse perspectives and approaches to creating positive change

It opens your mind to new possibilities and ways of thinking about social justice. It challenges you to think critically and engage in meaningful conversations about systemic issues.

It opens your heart to empathy, compassion, and a deeper understanding of the experiences of others. You leave the conference with meaningful connections and relationships, feeling empowered to take action and be a part of creating a more just, equitable, and sustainable world.

My journey of unpacking the issues of the world didn’t end once the conference was over. Certain sessions, phrases, and facts replay in my mind constantly, and I find myself reflecting, learning, and unlearning more deeply over time.
